The kitchen is truly the heart of the modern home. We won’t just fit it for you, we can help and advise you on everything from sourcing trade price kitchens and worktops, lighting and floor finishes.
The first step is to safely disconnect the appliances and strip out the old kitchen. As the units and tiles come off the walls they invariably pull off the plaster. Sometimes, and in older properties particularly, the render (triple coat of cement between brickwork and plaster) is unstable and must be replaced.
Stage two is the first fix electrics and plumbing. Once these are in place the re-plastering (and rendering if necessary) can begin. Once the plaster has dried, we can start to decorate. The next step is to screw down sheets of marine ply to the joists to give a firm base for the floor. We can then fit the units and appliances and tile the floor. Once the worktop is in position, we do a final coat of paint, tile the splash backs and second fix all electrics.
